ABILENE, Texas — Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team blanked Concordia 12-0 in American Southwest Conference action, Saturday afternoon at the HSU Soccer Complex.

The Cowgirls dominated the game from throughout as they scored five goals in the first 23:32 of the game. Carlyn Powers scored on a pair of corner kicks at the 8:14 and 12:23 mark. Erin Low scored the third goal at the 17:59 mark and Katie Kuykendall scored at the 21:21 mark. Taylor Thigpen scored at 23:32.

Austin Ricker, Chelsea Flores and Mickey Rogers each scored before halftime.

Amy Kuykendall, Kelsey Byars, Miranda Bersosa and Laura Bailey all scored for the Cowgirls in the second half.

HSU outshot Concordia 38-1 in the game. Christi Carr and Rebecca Roth combined for the shutout in goal for HSU.

The Cowgirls have won six games in a row and are now 6-1 on the season and 3-0 in ASC action. Concordia fell to 2-2-3 overall and 1-2-1 in league play.
