Box Score SHREVEPORT, La. — Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team won its 10th straight game with a 2-0 win over Centenary on Saturday evening in Shreveport.
HSU dominated the possession in the game and outshot the Ladies 19-2 overall and 9-1 on goal. HSU also had 11 corner kicks to none for Centenary.
Taylor Thigpen put the Cowgirls on the board in the 33rd minute on a Miranda Bersosa assist. The two hooked up again as Thigpen set up Bersosa for her seventh goal of the season in the 82nd minute.
Rebecca Roth pitched the shutout in goal with one save and Brittaney Dunn had seven saves for Centenary.
The game does not count in the ASC standings because Centenary is not a full Division III member. HSU is now 10-1 on the year and will play at Howard Payne and Mary Hardin-Baylor next weekend. Centenary fell to 8-5 overall.
