Box Score AUSTIN, Texas — Hardin-Simmons' finished American Southwest Conference action undefeated with a 4-0 win over Concordia in the regular-season finale on Saturday evening at Town and Country Soccer Complex in Austin.
The Cowgirls are now 15-0-1 on the year and 12-0 in ASC action. HSU is ranked third in the nation and will host the American Southwest Conference Championship next weekend in Abilene. Concordia finished the regular season with a record of 9-5-3 overall and 7-3-2 in ASC play and will also advance to the ASC Tournament.
Katie Kuykendall scored a pair of first half goals in the 12th and 27th minutes. Katie Haltiwanger made it 3-0 at the 37:50 mark.
Kati McCarty added a goal in the 56th minute for HSU.
The Cowgirls outshot Concordia 23-7 overall and 17-3 on goal. Lexi Stinson and Abby Blunt split time in goal for the Cowgirls and Stinson had three saves.
HSU will host the ASC Championship and receive a first round bye. HSU will play the winner of Texas-Dallas and Concordia on Friday at 11 a.m.
