Box Score ABILENE, Texas -- Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team wrapped up the American Southwest Conference regular season title and the right to host the ASC Championship with a 4-0 win over East Texas Baptist on Saturday at the HSU Soccer Complex.
The Cowgirls received all four goals from freshmen. Kirsten Parrish scored at 25:05 off a Katie Haltiwanger assist. It was Parrish's third goal of the year. Evan Pipkin scored on a Kami Jones assist at 26:30.
Hadley Schwierking scored :46 into the second half and Jones scored her fourth goal on a Jordan Lara assist at 59:53.
HSU outshot ETBU 23-1 and also had a 9-1 advantage on corner kicks.
Lexi Stinson and Abby Blunt worked in goal for the Cowgirls. Christina Salas had nine saves for ETBU.
The Cowgirls honored its five seniors before the game in a ceremony. The Cowgirls are now 14-2 overall and 8-1 in league play. ETBU is 6-7-2 overall and 2-5-2 in league play.
HSU earns a first round bye and will play on Saturday at 11 a.m. against the winner of the Texas-Dallas and Concordia game.
