ABILENE, Texas -- Hardin-Simmons' women's tennis team won four of six singles matches to rally for a 5-4 win over East Texas Baptist on Saturday morning at the Streich Tennis Center.
ETBU came out and won the first two doubles matches but Jenna and
Hannah Smith salvaged an 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles.
Michaela Ellison won over regionally ranked Kate Bramlett 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 at No. 1 singles.
Jenna Smith won in three sets at No. 3 and
Kyra Mobley won in straight sets.
Shayne Cook lost at No. 2 singles and
Jasmine Briant fell in three sets at No. 6 leaving the match up to No. 5 singles.
Hannah Smith split the first two sets to set up a deciding set for the individual match and also the dual. Smith won 6-2 and the Cowgirls won the match.
HSU will host Trinity on Feb. 10 at 4 p.m.
