ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' women's tennis team dropped its season opener, 9-0, to Angelo State on Thursday afternoon at the Streich Tennis Center.

The Rambelles opened the match with three solid wins in doubles.

In singles play, ASU won all six matches in straight sets. Abigail Kendall had the best day for the Cowgirls, falling 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 singles.

HSU will play at Texas-Tyler and East Texas Baptist on Saturday in its next action.
