ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' women's tennis fell 8-1 to Austin College at a chilly Streich Tennis Center on Saturday.
Kelsey Doege picked up the Cowgirls win with a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 5 singles. Doege and Maddie Hammond also dropped a tough 9-7 match in doubles. Elizabeth Lopez pushed her match to a third-set before falling.
HSU is 0-5 on the year and Austin College improved to 2-0. The Cowgirls will go to Oregon next weekend for four matches.
