Box Score ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team won 3-0 playing the ETBU Tigers on in American Southwest Conference play at the HSU Soccer Complex Sunday afternoon.
Randie Dennison opened the Cowgirl day with a goal in tight after a ball in from Hayden Abor to Make it 1-0 in the 36th minute.
Jenna Kirk got the second Cowgirl goal in the 44th minute, scoring after a corner from Madelyn Dowell and a dish from Rachel Bean before the half.
Emma Thompson scored her seventh goal of the season after a through ball from Caroline Pool. Thompson hit an immaculate ball across the box to net in the opposite corner of the goal, finishing the Cowgirl scoring day at 3-0 in the 52nd minute.
The Cowgirls had 15 shots and six on goal while ETBU had nine shots and put two on frame. The Cowgirls led with six corners to none for the Tigers.
Haley Foley started in the pipes for Hardin-Simmons and had a save in 75 minutes. Kendall Dowling finished the game with a save in 15 minutes of play.
The Tiger keeper was Claire Montondon who had two nice saves in 47 minutes before leaving the game after a collision. Addison Funk finished the game with 43 minutes and a save.
The Cowgirl soccer team is now 6-2 and 3-0 in the ASC. Next Thursday HSU travels to UT Dallas to play starting a 5 p.m.
