Box Score CLARKSVILLE, Ark. – Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team got a 3-0 conference win at Ozarks on Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.
Senior Michaela Sabrsula scored to give the Cowgirls the lead in the opening minute of the game. Emma Thompson added to the lead with her eighth goal on the year in the fifth minute assisted by Caroline Pool to give the Cowgirls a 2-0 lead at the half.
Hayden Abor scored unassisted in the 67th minute to get the Cowgirls a 3-0 lead which they would hold for the win. The Cowgirls are now 5-0 in the ASC.
The Cowgirls had 19 shots and nine on goal in the contest. Ozarks shot four times with two on the frame. The Cowgirls led with 16 corner kicks to none for the Eagles.
Haley Foley started in goal and had one save in 69 minutes of play. Kendall Dowling finished the game with 21 minutes and a save. The Eagle keeper was Sydney Frazier who had six saves in the game.
The Cowgirls improve to 8-2 and 5-0 in the conference. The HSU soccer team will return to Abilene to play Sul Ross State on Thursday night at the HSU Soccer Complex at 5 p.m.
