ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' women's tennis team dropped a dual match against Dallas Baptist 3-6 on Saturday at the Streich Tennis Center.

Brianne Dumas and McKenna Bryan won at doubles number three by a score of 8-1 over the team of Leslie Omeire and Ira Vogelmann.

At number three singles, Cowgirl Lauren Schaeffer won 2-6, 6-3, 6-1 against Dallas Baptist's Adriana Carpenter.

Bryan defeated Omeire at number six singles to get the third Cowgirl win of the day with set scores of 6-1, 6-3.

The Cowgirls fall to 0-2 on the young season. HSU tennis will be back in action next Friday at home to take on Midwestern State starting at 2 p.m. at the Streich Tennis Center.
