JACKSON, Miss. – Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team won 1-0 at the Belhaven Blazers in Jackson, Miss. on Thursday night in the American Southwest Conference opener.

Senior Michaela Sabrsula got the goal in the seventh minute for the Cowgirls who held on for the 1-0 victory in ASC play.

The Cowgirls had three shots in the game to seven for Belhaven, each team with one on frame. The Cowgirls got five corner kicks to the Blazer three in the match.

Haley Foley got another Cowgirl win in goal with one save in the full 90 minutes of play.

The Cowgirls move to 4-2 on the year and 1-0 in conference play. The team will head back to Abilene to play LeTourneau next Thursday night at the HSU Soccer Complex on Grape Street at 5 p.m.
