THOUSAND OAKS, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' women's tennis team went down 8-1 to Cal Lutheran to finish the Cowgirl road trip on Monday night on the west coast.
Jonnah Smith and Skylar Rust got the lone Cowgirl win on the night at No. 3 doubles, scoring it 8-6 against the Cal Lutheran squad.
Priscilla Schimming had a close match in No. 4 singles going down 5-7, 2-6, and Rust went three sets in to fall 4-6, 6-3, 5-7 at No. 6 singles.
The Cowgirls fall to 2-6 on the season with next weekend off before returning to the Streich Tennis Center in Abilene to host the LeTourneau Yellowjackets on March 22nd beginning at 3 p.m.
