
RICHARDSON, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy tennis team had six players named all-ASC for the season, with Brice Bradshaw and Davyn Williford earning major awards and the Cowboy coaches named ASC West Coach of the Year.
The Cowboy staff of head coach Shane Williford and assistants David Jones and Rick Meyers were named the 2023 ASC West Men's Tennis Coaches of the Year. They led the Cowboys to another berth in the ASC Championship match this year. It is the HSU staff's seventh time being named ASC West Coach of the Year.
Brice Bradshaw led the Cowboys in the No. 1 singles and doubles spots all season and was named ASC West Newcomer of the year. Davyn Williford was also recognized by the ASC awards, being named the ASC West All-Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year.
Nathaniel Schoendorf was named all-ASC for the Cowboys in flight two singles and flight one doubles.
James Moore was named all-ASC in flight three singles for the Cowboys and Desmond O'Shea was named all-ASC at flight four for Hardin-Simmons.
Schoendorf, Moore, and O'Shea were also named first team all-ASC west at flight two, three, and four, respectively. Bradshaw and Schoendorf were first team all-ASC west at flight one doubles.
Bradshaw, Williford, and Justus Petersilie were named all-ASC west second team in singles flight one, five, and six, respectively. The team of Moore and O'Shea was named second team all-ASC west.
