ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl tennis team hosted the Big Country Classic at the Streich Tennis Center and other locations around Abilene beginning Friday.
 
The Cowgirl singles and doubles had a record of 10-8 on the first day. Laurel Coleman won two doubles and singles matches and Brenna Gordon won both of her singles matches as well.
 
The Cowgirls will continue on Saturday at the Streich Tennis Center for more tennis action.
