ABILENE, Texas  — Hardin-Simmons' men's tennis team split a pair of matches on Saturday, falling 9-0 to Division II Midwestern State and beating East Texas Baptist 9-0 in American Southwest Conference action.

HSU rebounded from not winning a set against Midwestern to blank ETBU in the conference opener.

Erich Bein won at No. 1 singles and teamed with Michael McCullough for a win at No. 1 doubles. McCullough also won his singles match in straight sets. Sam May and Andrew Eurek won at No. 2 doubles and No. 3 and No. 5 singles. Jordan Wilson won at No. 2 doubles with Dylan Price. They won at No. 4 and No. 6 singles.

HSU is now 1-2 on the year and 1-0 in conference play. HSU hosts LeTourneau on Sunday at 2 p.m.
