ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' men's tennis team fell to Dallas Baptist on Friday afternoon at the new Streich Tennis Center in Abilene.
The Cowboys took a 2-1 lead after double.
Alex Hunt and
Andrew Eurek won 8-6 at No. 1 and
Frankie Sanchez and
B.J. Farmakis won 9-8 at No. 3.
The Patriots won four of the six singles matches to take the win. Farmakis won 6-4, 6-0 at No. 3 and Eurek won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 6 singles.
The match was tied at 4-4 and came down to No. 5 singles and Isaac Childs came out with a tough three-set win over Kennan Nash, 6-4, 5-7, 7-5.
HSU is now 4-3 on the year and DBU improved to 2-2. The Cowboys are next in action on March 5 against Southwestern and Trinity.
