ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' men's tennis team competed with the Division I Abilene Christian men's team on Friday in Abilene.

ACU won the dual match 7-0, but the Cowboys had some very tight set scores against the quality opponents.

Alex Pavkovich fell 7-5, 6-4 to the Wildcat No. 1 Savan Chhabra. Desmond O'Shea played the No. 2 match against Riley Tran tight in a 6-3, 6-4 defeat.

James Moore won a set for the Cowboys, losing the split point to ACU's No. 3 Oswaldo Cano-Sosa, 4-6, 6-1, 10-4.

The Cowboys fall to 1-3 after facing Abilene Christian. The next Cowboy tennis action will be next Friday, March 5 at UT Dallas in Richardson beginning at 2 p.m.
