ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' men's tennis team won 6-3 in an American Southwest Conference match against the Concordia Texas Tornados on Friday at the Streich Tennis Center.
Alex Pavkovich won at No. 1 singles 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 over Joshua Bode. The team of Pavkovich and Desmond O'Shea also won the No. 1 doubles match against Bode and Esteban Arredondo 8-1.
James Moore won at No. 3 singles for the Cowboys over Joeri Bregman by a score of 7-6 (4), 6-4. Moore and Chris Beavers won the No. 3 doubles match 8-7 (7-3) against the Tornado team of Evan Pena and Adrian Munguia.
Davyn Williford defeated Pena in No. 6 singles 6-2, 7-6 (7-3). The No. 2 doubles team of Josh Lopez and Williford won 8-3 against Van der Heijden and Bregman.
The Cowboys improve to 4-6 and will head west to play at the Sul Ross State Lobos in ASC play on Saturday at 1 p.m.
