ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' men's tennis team defeated the Colorado College Tigers 8-1 and UMHB 8-1 in ASC play on Saturday at the Streich Tennis Center.
Alex Pavkovich and Desmond O'Shea went up 8-6 against Colorado College's Delafield and Kaelin in No. 1 doubles.
Nathaniel Schoendorf and James Moore won 8-1 against Kley and Pastor in two doubles with the team of Josh Lopez and Chris Beavers defeating Adas and Beerman 8-7(7-4) at No. 3.
Pavkovich won No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-2 playing Little. Schoendorf scored 6-3, 6-3 to win against Kaelin in No. 2 singles.
Moore had a 6-4, 6-4 defeat of Delafield in the three spot. Lopez finished off Beerman 6-0, 4-6, (10-4) to take No. 5 singles and Fowler ended with a Cowboy win at No. 6 over Kley 4-6, 6-2, (10-5).
Pavkovich and O'Shea won one doubles over Mary Hardin-Baylor 8-1. Schoendorf and Moore went up 8-2 in the two doubles match for HSU and Lopez and Beavers won 8-3 against the Cru in No. 3 doubles.
Schoendorf played No. 1 singles to a 6-2, 6-1 win. Moore went 6-2, 6-4 for another Cowboy win at two singles.
O'Shea had a 6-4, 6-0 match to win the three singles spot. Lopez rallied to win No. 4 5-7, 6-3, (11-9) and Beavers finished the day at No. 6 single 6-0, 6-4 for the Cowboys.
The Cowboys are now 11-7 on the year and 4-1 in ASC play. The ASC Championship Tournament will begin for the Cowboys on May 5 at Concordia in the coming weeks.
