ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' men's tennis team opened the spring season at Abilene Christian on Friday night, going down to the Wildcats 7-0.
The Cowboys dropped doubles in all three matches, scored as one point in the dual. One doubles of Brice Bradshaw and Nathaniel Schoendorf played to a 6-3 defeat. Two doubles of Desmond O'Shea and James Moore scored 6-2 in the loss. Davyn Williford and Zach Fowler went down 6-3 in three doubles.
Bradshaw led the Cowboys in one singles going down 6-0, 6-2. Schoendorf was at No. 2 singles falling 6-2, 6-4.
Moore went down 6-3, 6-3 at three singles. O'Shea fell 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 singles. Williford went out 7-5, 6-1 at No. 5 and Fowler finished the day 6-0, 6-1 dropping the last match at six singles.
The Cowboys will host A&M Texarkana on February 10 at the Striech Tennis Center at 2 p.m.
