ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' men's tennis team won a non-conference match against the East Texas Baptist Tigers on Saturday at the Streich Tennis Center in Abilene.
Brice Bradshaw and Nathaniel Schoendorf went up 8-2 in the first doubles match to win for the Cowboys.
James Moore and Desmond O'Shea won 8-3 in the second doubles match over the Tigers and Davyn Williford and Zach Fowler defeated the three doubles opponents 8-3 for Hardin-Simmons.
Bradshaw won two sets 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) to claim the win at singles No. 1. Schoendorf took down the Tigers 7-5, 6-2 at singles No. 2 for the Cowboys.
Moore went 6-2, 6-1 for the win at No. 3 singles and O'Shea followed suit with a 6-2, 6-1 victory for HSU in No. 4 singles against ETBU.
Williford won No. 5 singles by a score of 6-1, 6-0 and Fowler finished the day at No. 6 singles with a split set 6-7 (6-8), 6-3, (10-5) to complete the sweep for the Cowboys on Saturday.
The Cowboys improve to 5-2 and will host the Trinity Tigers on Saturday at the Streich Tennis Center.
