One of the top defensive players in theAmerican Southwest Conference, he was named the preseason ASCdefensive player of the year. After flirting with linebacker in thespring, he will remain at his customary defensive end spot that hehas occupied for four seasons.  2009: Was a first-team all-ASCselection after recording 62 tackles, including 12 for loses and ateam-best 6.5 sacks, which ranked second in the ASC last season.Had nine tackles three different times last season –Whitworth, Mary Hardin-Baylor and Louisiana College. Had two sacksagainst both Howard Payne and Texas Lutheran. Named academicall-ASC. 2008: Recorded 60 tackles, including 10 for losses. Healso had four sacks on the season. Had a then career-best eighttackles against East Texas Baptist and McMurry. Was named asecond-team all-ASC selection. 2007: Played in nine games andstarted three in his true freshmen season. Had 11 tackles,including three for losses. Had a 10-yard sack against McMurry.Blocked a kick and broke up two passes.
