Hardin-Simmons University

Hernandez is one of the strongest athletes ever at Hardin-Simmons and was a dominating offensive lineman for some of the best teams in the Division III era. He was a two-time first-team All-American as an offensive guard and was the ASC Offensive Lineman of the Year as a junior and senior.  He was a two-time first-team All-ASC selection and was a second-teamer as a sophomore. He was named to the 2^nd Team AP Little All-American Team consisting of players from Division II, Division III, and NAIA schools.
