Ted made All Border Conference his junior and senior years and Honorable Mention All American player his senior year. Drafted by the Chicago Cardinals, he was heavily recruited by the New York Titans, coached by his college coach, Sam Baugh. HSU Coach Baugh tabbed Ted as the finest tackle in the Border Conference his senior year. The coaches named him as the best defensive player on the team in 1959. He was one of the leaders of the team that won the Border Conference in 1959, and was runner-up for the Most Valuable player in the Sun Bowl against the University of Wyoming. Ted married HSU ex Georgie Bohannon, and they have two children, Cathey and Teddy, and 5 grandchildren.
