A stocky RB from Roby, Texas Lance Moore is the single-season leader in several categories at Hardin-Simmons University. He holds the Division III era record for rushing TD’s in a season with 23 in 2004 and he is the single-season scoring leader with 164 points also in 2004. He is second all-time at HSU in scoring and is fifth all-time in career rushing yards with 2,479 yards. He had 12 100-yard rushing games in his career at HSU. In 2004, he was named the ASC offensive Player of the Year as the Cowboys won the ASC championship and posted a 10-1 record. Moore rushed for 1,211 yards in eleven games and averaged 109.5 yards per game. He had four touchdowns in a game against Louisiana College and he scored three touchdowns against Mississippi College. In 2003 he had four straight 100-yards efforts to close the season including 158 against the No. 3 run defense in the nation in East Texas Baptist and 135 against the No.2 run defense in the nation in Mary Hardin-Baylor. He was named first-team all-ASC and second-team all-region. In 2002 and 2003 he was named Academic All-ASC.
