Aguilar was the first superstar of the Division III era for the Cowgirls and helped turn the Cowgirl program from one of the cellar dwellers in the conference to ASC champions as a senior. She was a force in the middle for the Cowgirls and still holds the school record for blocks in a career with 435. She also had one of the top serves in school history as her powerful serves resulted in 181 career service aces. She also had 1,150 kills which ranks fourth in Cowgirl history. For her career she is the only player in American Southwest Conference history with over 1,000 kills, 500 digs and 400 blocks. She was a four-time all-ASC selection and was a two-time league MVP. She was also the MVP of the ASC Tournament her senior year. She was an academic All-American and an all-West region performer. As dominant as she was on the court, she may have excelled more in the classroom. She was a 4.0 student as an undergrad in computer science and also earned a graduate degree at HSU. She won the Olsen medal for the overall best student at HSU as an undergrad. She late came back and served as a volunteer graduate coach at HSU and also served in the United States Air Force and was active in several athletic contests with the air force team, including bowling, track and field and volleyball. She was named one of the semifinalists for the 2007 NCAA Woman of the Year.
