A native of Olney, Texas, Rogers is arguably the most dominating player to ever play in the American Southwest Conference. The wide receiver set the American Southwest Conference record with 4,117 yards and 50 receiving touchdowns in just 46 games played. He had 199 catches in his Hardin-Simmons career. He was a first-team All-American in 2000 and honorable mention in 2001. He led the Cowboys to four straight ASC titles, never lost a conference game and HSU went to the NCAA playoffs three times, including the semifinals in 2000 under Rogers. HSU posted a 41-5 record in his four years. He spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs and also played in NFL Europe and the Canadian Football League, prior to starting a coaching career.
