Porter was among Coach Marcus Wood’s first recruiting class. During her four years at HSU, their combined team record was 68-11-6. Porter was a part of three ASC Championship teams, and was named to the first team all-ASC three times. She was also the ASC Defensive Player of the Year for three consecutive years. Porter was a three-time all South Region pick, and a three-time CoSIDA Academic all-district selection. Porter was also a two-time NSCAA Academic Scholar and a third-team NSCAA all-American. Porter served the Midland Police Department for 10 years as a patrol officer, K9 handler and detective.
