leader in 1963.  He holds the school record for the most points scored in one game with 52 against West Texas State in 1964.  In that game he also scored a record 24 field goals. He set a third school record that season when he scored a total of 545 points. He was only the third Cowboy in history to score more than 500 points in one season. He was honored by being named 3rd team Little All-America.
